Symphony in the Park
The City of Cottage Grove is happy to announce the Eugene Symphony will return for the Symphony in the Park on July 22, 2024. Local businesses and the community generously donate funds to help make this happen. Can we count on you?

April 2024 Building Inspection Services Report
For the month of April the Building Division of the Public Works & Development Department issued 41 permits and performed 163 inspections in Cottage Grove. In Creswell, 15 permits were issued and 54 inspections were performed. In Veneta, 14 permits were issued and 42 inspections were performed. In Coburg 18 permits were issued, three for single family homes and 66 inspections were performed. Staff reviewed and approved 23 plan sets in April and 17 plan sets are in review or on hold for additional information.
Donation of a Western Canyon Live Oak Tree
The City of Cottage Grove wants to extend their thanks to Chris E. for donating a beautiful Western Canyon Live Oak for Coiner Park. The City appreciates Chris’s ambition in procuring the tree and coordinating with the Community Development and Public Works departments in getting it planted.
Tall Grass Season
The Community Development Department wants to remind residents that Tall Grass Season (Hazardous Vegetation) enforcement starts on May 15th and will continue until November 15th . Per City Code, tall grass and weeds; wild blackberry bushes; vegetation that is near combustible or is likely to endanger buildings or other property if caught on fire, must be cut down as often as needed to prevent the creation of a fire hazard.
