Notice of Budget Committee Meeting and Public Hearing

A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the City of Cottage Grove, Lane County, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024 will be held in person in the City Council Chambers of City Hall, 400 E. Main Street. The meeting will take place on the 16th day of May 2023 at 6:00 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and to receive comment from the public on the budget. A copy of the budget document may be inspected or obtained on or after May 10th, 2023 at 400 E. Main Street, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. or online at https://www.cottagegroveor.gov/finance/page/budgets. To review the budget in person, please call the Finance Department to arrange a time for pick-up.

This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. The meeting will include a public hearing to discuss possible uses of state revenue sharing funds. To sign up to comment, please see the agenda on-line for instructions or sign up at the meeting.

Written testimony can also be submitted by 3:00 p.m. on the date of the hearing, to the City Recorder at 400 E. Main Street, Cottage Grove. After the budget message has been delivered, and the presentation of the budget has been made, the budget may be approved, or the meeting may be recessed until May 18th 2023, at 6:00 p.m. for further deliberation and subsequent approval, if needed (see link below for May 18th Meeting).
