Urban Forestry Committee

Tree City USA - 25 Years in 2019

The Urban Forestry Citizens Advisory Committee was created on December 12, 1994 by the City Council.  The charge given to the original committee was to assist in developing an urban forestry plan for the City of Cottage Grove; make recommendations to the City Council regarding urban forestry; and seek grants to improve the quality of our urban forest. Since the Urban Forestry Committee began its work, Cottage Grove has been named Tree City, USA for over 26 years and holds an annual Arbor Day observance.
