Cleveland Street Capitol Improvement Project

Delta Construction has been busy connecting Kathleen Drive to the future extension of 4th Street to Cleveland Avenue. Preparations have started for the installation of the sewer line.

Delta Construction finished the temporary access road to 4th Street and have placed the 10” sewer line from 6th Street to the west on Cleveland Street.

Cleveland Street and the intersection of Cleveland & 6th St in Cottage Grove will be under construction through the end of June 2025 for a full reconstruction of the road.

6th Street will remain open throughout the duration of the project. Cleveland Street will remain open to local traffic only. Work is scheduled on Cleveland St between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.

Sanitary Sewer Pipe bursting Project

Weather permitting, the pipe bursting project should be complete by April 11th. There will be one more closure of 10th Street for the re-pavement. Date is to be determined. Thank you to H & J Construction, Mike Kirkpatrick and his crew for a job well done.

Douglas Street Effluent Line

City crews are continuing to install the 300’ of effluent line down Douglas Street. This project will extend the effluent line to Trailhead Park and then on to Bohemia Park for landscaping irrigation. Once the line has been placed the City of Cottage Grove will contract out the replacement of asphalt along North Douglas Street.
