SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL & FILLMORE STREET STORMWATER OUTFALL PROJECT - 1042

Sealed bids will be received by the City of Cottage Grove, in the Office of Public Works, until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2020, for the construction of the SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL PROJECT 2020 & FILLMORE STREET STORMWATER OUTFALL PROJECT and will then and there be opened and publicly read aloud. Bid proposals received after the date and time fixed for opening will not be considered.  No electronic or facsimile submittals will be accepted.

The project involves roadway improvements to S. 4th Street between Hwy 99 and Grant Avenue. The improvements include asphalt surfacing, subgrade reconstruction/replacement, new concrete sidewalks, new concrete ADA ramps and driveways, stormwater system improvements, sanitary system improvements, water distribution system improvements, and relocation of existing overhead utility poles. The project also includes improvements to E. Harrison Avenue from River Road to Hwy 99 consisting of new concrete sidewalks, new concrete ADA ramps and driveways along with asphalt surface repair. The project also includes improvements to Taylor Avenue from S. 4th Street to S. 8th Street consisting of new concrete sidewalks, new concrete ADA ramps and driveways along with asphalt surface repair, water distribution system improvements. The project also includes improvements to Grant Avenue from S. 4th Street to S. 7th Street consisting of new concrete sidewalks, new concrete ADA ramps and driveways along with asphalt surface repair. The project also includes improvements to Fillmore Avenue from S. 4th Street to S. 7th Street including new concrete sidewalks, new concrete ADA ramps and driveways along with asphalt surface repair and stormwater facility improvements including water quality swale. The work involves sawcutting, excavation, trenching, removal, compaction, construction of: roadbed and asphalt paving, concrete sidewalks, concrete curb and gutter, concrete driveway and flatwork, stormwater manholes, stormwater pipe, stormwater catch basins, stormwater quality swale, sanitary pipe, sanitary manholes, sanitary service replacement and reconnections, water main replacement and service replacements and reconnections, coordination with existing overhead utilities for replacement and landscaping.

Bidders must be pre-qualified with the City of Cottage Grove in accordance with Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) Chapter 279C.430 by submitting either a completed City of Cottage Grove Pre-qualification form or an Oregon Department of Transportation form on or before 5:00 p.m., Friday, April 3, 2020.  Bidders and/or subcontractors must be prequalified in street repair construction to complete the project. City of Cottage Grove Pre-qualification forms are available at 400 East Main Street, Cottage Grove, Oregon 97424.  You may pre-qualify with the Oregon Department of Transportation at 121 Transportation Building, Salem, Oregon 97310.
