South Sixth Street Improvement

Sealed bids will be received by the City of Cottage Grove, in the Office of Public Works, until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2017, for the construction of the SOUTH SIXTH STREET IMPROVEMENTS - 2017 project and will then and there be opened and publicly read aloud. Bid proposals received after the date and time fixed for opening will not be considered.  No electronic or facsimile submittals will be accepted.

The project consists of cold plane of existing pavement surfaces; saw-cutting and repairing existing base rock; installation of permanent pavement markings; adjustment of existing manholes, gate valve boxes, and all work incidental thereto as set forth in the project plans and specifications.

An optional paper set of project documents may be obtained at the Office of the City Engineer, 400 E. Main Street, Cottage Grove, Oregon for a deposit of sixty dollars ($60.00).  Deposits will be refunded to bidders who return the complete set of bid documents in their entirety, unmarked, reusable and in good condition to the City of Cottage Grove within ten (10) days after the bidding date.

Bidders must be pre-qualified with the City of Cottage Grove in accordance with Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) Chapter 279C.430 by submitting either a completed City of Cottage Grove Prequalification form or an Oregon Department of Transportation form on or before 5:00 p.m., Friday, September 1, 2017.  Bidders must be prequalified in Street Repair Construction. City of Cottage Grove Prequalification forms are available at 400 East Main Street, Cottage Grove, Oregon 97424.  You may pre-qualify with the Oregon Department of Transportation at 121 Transportation Building, Salem, Oregon 97310.

Notice is hereby given that this contract is for a Public Work, subject to ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870.

All bids must be sealed and plainly marked on the outside showing the name of the bidder: the project name: the date and time of bid opening: the words "sealed bid": and addressed to

A non-mandatory pre-bid will be held for this project on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at City Hall.
