The City of Cottage Grove is now accepting applications for a Water Treatment Plant Operator-In-Training. This position performs a variety of tasks necessary to the operation and maintenance of the City’s Row River Water Treatment Plant. Preference will be given to applicants who hold an Oregon Water Treatment Plant Operator certification, although certification is not required and can be obtained through training. The Water Treatment Plant Operator-In-Training will be trained to operate the City’s 6 million gallons per day water treatment plant, two booster pump stations, water storage reservoirs and water transmission line facilities. Performs tasks involving maintenance and operation of the water treatment facilities, including all aspects of plant operation, maintenance, and other related work as required. The water treatment plant is a Pall membrane filtration facility. At the earliest time possible this position will require the Operator-In-Training to receive a Level I Oregon Water Treatment Plant Certification.

Pay range: $3-621-$4,998 per month full-time.
