First Budget Committee Meeting and Public Hearing Notice

Notice of Budget Committee Meeting and Public Hearing
A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the City of Cottage Grove, Lane County, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025 will be held in person in the City Council Chambers of City Hall, 400 E. Main Street. The meeting will take place on the 14th day of May 2024 at 6:00 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and to receive comment from the public on the budget. A copy of the budget document may be inspected or obtained on or after May 10th, 2024 at 400 E. Main Street, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. or online at https://www.cottagegroveor.gov/finance/page/budgets. To review the budget in person, please call the Finance Department to arrange a time for pick-up.
This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. The meeting will include a public hearing to discuss possible uses of state revenue sharing funds.
Any person may appear at the meeting in person or join the meeting electronically using Zoom Webinar. Written testimony can also be submitted by 3:00 p.m. on the date of the hearing, to the City Recorder at 400 E. Main Street, Cottage Grove. After the budget message has been delivered, and the presentation of the budget has been made, the budget may be approved, or the meeting may be recessed until May 16th 2024, at 6:00 p.m. for further deliberation and subsequent approval, if needed (see link below for May 16th Meeting).
Anyone wishing to comment on the proposed budget or during the public hearing to discuss possible uses of state revenue sharing funds, please sign in and use the comment form at: https://www.cottagegroveor.gov/budget/webform/may-14-2024-budget-committee-public-hearing-comment-request-form by 3:00 p.m., the day of the meeting.
The comment form can also be used to submit written comments or written comments can be delivered to the City Recorder. All written comments must be received by 3:00 pm the date of the meeting.
