2022-23 Adopted Budget Document
The 2022-23 Proposed Budget was presented to the Budget Committee on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, beginning at 6:00 pm. The Budget Committee held a Public Hearing to receive comments from the public regarding the expenditure of State Shared Revenues and the Proposed Budget.
The City of Cottage Grove held the public meetings in person and virtually. Written testimony could be submitted by 4:00 pm to the City Recorder on the date of the meeting in person, by email sent to cityrecorder@cottagegrove.org, or by using the online comment form found on the Agendas.
After receiving the Budget Message and reviewing the Proposed Budget the Committee approved the proposed budget with changes and recommended adoption to the City Council. At a meeting held June 13, 2022, the City Council held two public hearings, one to receive comment regarding the Uses of State Shared Revenues, and a public hearing concerning the Budget. The Approved Budget with changes recommended by staff and the consideration of public testimony received June 13, 2022, was presented to the City Council for their final review and consideration for adoption on June 27, 2022. The changes are outlined in the Adopted Budget on pages ix through xii.
The City Council adopted Resolution No. 2075, Adopting the 2022-23 Budget, Making Appropriations, and Imposing and Categorizing Ad Valorem Taxes. The resolution is included in the Appendix of the Adopted Budget.
